Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actor, comedian and activist After immigrating to America she was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. Her first professional work was as a child actor. In AT&T television commercials she played the character as Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 to 2016 and then in the year 2020. Commercial appearances weren't her only activity she appeared in. She also appeared on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally, she was an actor on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). After being cast in the unaired TV pilot for New Warriors, Vayntrub also voices Squirrel Girl in Marvel Rising. Vayntrub was Jewish and born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. At the age of two her parents and she moved to the U.S. as refugees to escape antisemitism, settling in West Hollywood. At the age of five she started appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was partly due to the financial struggles in her family. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. But she dropped out of school after her sophomore years. She was able to get a GED and then was able to earn an undergraduate degree in Arts (Communication) from University of California San Diego. She learned improv comedy from the Upright Citizens Brigade.
