Abigale Miller bio

Abigale Lee Miller(born on 21st September, 1965) is an American choreographer, dance instructor, and reality television personality. Abby Lee Dance Company is her own creation that ran for eight seasons on Dance Moms. Miller confessed in June 2016 to the charge of felony bankruptcy fraud. Miller was sentenced for one and a half years in federal prison and released on the 27th of March 2018. In April of 2018 she was diagnosed with lymphoma, an aggressive form of cancer that made her unable to walk. To get around she relies on a wheelchair. Miller grew up in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. Her mother taught her to dance at the Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. Miller was 14 when she was given choreography and coaching of one of her mother's dance teams. Miller was given the reins of the studio and changed its name to Reign Dance Productions in 1995. Miller was certified by Dance Masters of America, and she was a member of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter 10 (February 1986). However, DMA terminated her membership in February 2012 because Miller's reality television show Dance Moms was a "complete misconception of the teachers we have and their students" and was damaging to the profession.
